Suave Grunge / Soft Grunge

La decada de los 90 marco tendencias en todos los aspectos; musica, moda, cine, arte, etc. Y el grunge fue sin duda gran parte de la generacion adolecente de esta epoca.

Como un nostalgico regreso esta tendencia ha estado invadiendo las calles, festivales y los estilos de vida, pero puede ser adaptado en pequeñas dosis a nuestro guardaropa con prendas clave como lo son las camisas de cuadros, jeans y shorts con desgastes, sin mencionar que para un look mas dramatico el maquillaje y el peinado son claves; yo opte por utilizar esta camisa de cuadros a la cintura con unos shorts desgastados y unos converse de bota alta clasicos de esta epoca. Este atuendo es muy comodo para un fin de semana, un concierto, o simplemente para el dia a dia.

The 90’s set a lot of trends in all aspects; music, fashion, cinema, art, etc. And the grunge was pretty much the anthem of the teen generation of this era .

As a nostalgic return this trend has been invading the streets , festivals and lifestyles , but we can adapted it in small doses to our wardrobe with key items such as plaid shirts ,worn out jeans and shorts, not to mention that for a more dramatic look makeup and hairstyle are the key; I choose to use this plaid shirt at the waist with a worn out shorts and converse classic of this era. This look is very comfortable for a weekend, a concert, or just for a daily basis.

Tendencia Palazzo / Palazzo Trend

Continuamos con el regreso de los 70´s y con ellos esta icónica prenda, el Palazzo; se caracterizan por ser amplios y de tiro alto, le dan un toque de elegancia a cualquier atuendo y dependiendo del tipo de tela o estampado que tengan funcionan bien con todos los tipos de cuerpo, hay que tener en cuenta que para estilizar la figura y acertar con esta prenda se debe en lo posible utilizar zapatos de tacón y que la bota del mismo lo cubra sin que toque el piso, esto con el fin de crear la ilusión de unas piernas más largas, también es importante que el top se ajuste a la figura para dar un balance al cuerpo.

Si tienes caderas amplias el tipo de palazzo para ti es en una tela liviana y que el volumen empiece justo en la parte más baja de la curva de cadera, así seguirá la figura de tu cuerpo realzándolo, si por el contrario tienes caderas pequeñas, las telas más gruesas y con volumen son perfectas para crear la ilusión de una figura más curva, también los estampados van perfecto porque te agregan volumen y estructura.

Yo rompí un poquito las reglas y utilice este enterizo que tiene la parte de arriba un poco amplia, pero con el escote en V compense la caída y amplitud para que se viera más alargado el torso, yo soy una amante de la comodidad y este enterizo lo tiene todo, es cómodo y elegante y con el color verde oliva es un ganador para una ocasión de uso formal.

If you have wide hips the palazzo for you is a lightweight fabric one and the volume should starts right at the lower part of the curve of the hip, this way it will follow the shape of your body enhancing it, if instead you have small hips, thicker and voluminous fabrics works creating the illusion of a curvier figure, also prints are perfect because you add volume and structure.

I broke the rules a little and use this onesie that has the top part a little wide, but with the V-neck created the illusion of a more elongated torso, I am a lover of comfort and this onesie has it all, it´s comfortable and elegant and with this olive green combo is a winner for formal occasions.

Tendencia “Lace Up” / Lace Up Trend

Me ha encantado esta nueva tendencia que se ha inspirado en las bailarinas y los corsé, la podemos encontrar desde baletas, sandalias, tacones hasta faldas, pantalones, bodies y blusas, los cordones que acompañan los escotes dejan entrever piel de manera sutil sin mostrar de más ya que estos lazos son graduables.

Es muy versátil pues puede ir de lo más femenino a un estilo oscuro y punk, todo está en cómo la interpretes según tu estilo, yo me he enamorado de esta tendencia y he probado con este body negro con el que puedo crear estilos muy variados, desde informal a más elegante según los complementos.

I loved this new trend that was inspired in ballerinas dancers and corsets, we can find it from flats , sandals, heels to skirts, pants, bodysuits and blouses , the “lace up” in necklines gives you a hint of skin without showing too much, because these ties are adjustable .

It is very versatile as it can go from the feminine to a punk and dark style, it depends all in how you interpret it according to your style, I am in love with this trend and have tried it with this black bodysuit; with it I can create different styles, from casual to more elegant by just changing complements.

El Toque Urbano / The Urban Touch

La influencia de la moda urbana en la vida cotidiana es cada vez más visible y está siendo reinterpretada desde muchos ángulos permitiendo que las personas las adopten en pequeñas dosis.

Las trenzas han aumentado su popularidad desde hace unos años, propias del estilo romántico y femenino, pero desde finales del 2015 y principios del 2016 hemos visto como estilos no propios de las pasarelas están invadiendo las cabelleras de todos en el mundo de la música, la moda y las artes en general (y pues del resto de los mortales como yo), en específico las “Boxer Braids” o “Trenzas de Boxeadora” que han emigrado del cuadrilátero a las calles para darnos ese estilo un poco rudo; yo tengo que admitirlo y es que últimamente se ha convertido en mi peinado favorito, porque aparte de favorecedor y cómodo, es muy fácil de hacer, cuando no sé cómo peinarme este es el comodín.

Otra de las tendencias que se vienen fuertes este 2016 son los parches en el denim, y su variedad es tan amplia como nuestra imaginación lo permita, desde las pasarelas a las calles, las prendas están siendo intervenidas para darle un estilo único y propio, aunque en las tiendas estamos viendo prendas con estos parches y prendedores, personalmente amo la idea de darle nuestro estilo a los básicos que ya tenemos en nuestro closet como chaquetas, jeans, sueter etc.

A esta chaqueta de denim le puse todos los prendedores que tengo (que de hecho significan muchísimo para mí porque cada uno tiene su historia, ya sea que me lo hayan regalado o que lo haya comprado) y eso hizo sentirme única a la hora de ponérmela, ya que nadie más va a tener una chaqueta igual, lo bueno de esto es que cuando quiera usarla sin ellos se pueden quitar y listo.

Braids have increased in popularity a few years ago, typical of romantic and feminine style, but since late 2015 and early 2016 we have seen styles not usual from the catwalks that are invading the hair of everyone in the world of music, fashion and the arts in general ( and for the rest of mortals like me) , specifically the "Boxer Braids " who have migrated from the ring to the streets to give us this style a little rough ; I have to admit that lately these braids have become my favorite hairstyle , because apart from flattering and comfortable , they are very easy to do, when I do not know what to do with my hair this is the style to go.

Another trend that is coming strong this 2016 are patches in denim, and their variety is as broad as our imagination, from the runways to the streets, the clothes are being intervened to give a unique and own style, although in stores we are seeing clothes with these patches and pins, but I personally love the idea of giving our style to basics we already have in our closet as jackets, jeans, sweaters etc.

To this denim jacket I put all the pins that I have (which actually means a lot to me because each one has a story, whether someone gave it to me or who bought it) and that made me feel unique when I wear it since no one else will have an equal jacket, the good thing is that when you want to use it without them can be removed and that’s it.

POST CAPSULA: Ocasiones Especiales / CAPSULE: Special Occasions

Para esas ocasiones donde debemos vestirnos elegantes para un evento (Grado, matrimonio, fiesta)  y no sabemos que ponernos aquí unos tips que te pueden ayudar a salir del apuro.

TIPS

1. Las siluetas maxi siempre brindan elegancia a cualquier atuendo, en especial cuando no queremos vernos muy recargadas, por eso escogí este vestido súper sencillo en color amarillo pastel y con un escote en la espalda.

2.   Siempre escoge una parte del cuerpo para destacar, (Busto, piernas, espalda), mostrar de más te quitara elegancia; en lo posible escoge uno de los tres, es decir, si vas a tener un escote profundo utiliza mangas largas y piernas cubiertas y así, yo escogí destacar la espalda cubriendo escote y piernas.

3.   Si tu vestido es sencillo (como es el mío en estas fotos) la mejor forma de complementarlo es con accesorios que destaquen, en este caso el collar dorado y la maxi pulsera.

4.   El maquillaje es clave, para ello los colores que escojas pueden jugar a favor o en contra, por lo que te recomiendo usar tonos en la gama del vestido o traje que estés usando o en contrastes que permitan resaltar el color de tu piel y cabello, pero si eres como yo, los NUDES (colores piel, neutros y dorados) nunca me fallan porque me dan un look natural y fresco.

5.   El peinado: muchas como yo, tememos innovar con nuestro cabello a la hora de un evento importante, así que siempre optamos o por el cabello totalmente liso, ondas en las puntas o una elegante y sencilla cola de caballo, por lo que te recomiendo que salgas de tu zona de confort y ensayes nuevos estilos (yo sé que no es fácil y no todas somos muy hábiles con las trenzas) pero la practica hace al maestro y con solo algunos accesorios para el cabello, puedes destacar el atuendo, en esta ocasión yo opte por esta corona de trenzas que es súper fácil de hacer (pronto hare un post con peinados sencillos paso a paso) y que hizo que el vestido y el escote de la espalda fueran los protagonistas.

6.   Actitud: las ocasiones especiales son para celebrarlas y la mejor excusa para darle un giro a nuestro estilo del día a día y sentirnos únicas, por eso es importante ponerte la mejor actitud y disfrutar de ellas.

For those occasions where we should dress up for an event (graduation, wedding, party) and you don’t know what to wear, here are some tips that can help you.

TIPS

1.   The maxi silhouettes always provide elegance to any outfit, especially when you do not want to look overdressed, so I chose this super simple backless pastel yellow dress.

2. Always choose a body part to highlight ( neckline, legs, back ) , showing more will make you look less elegant ; if possible choose one of the three , if you 're going to have a deep neckline use long sleeves and cover legs, here I chose to highlight the back covering back and legs.

3. If your dress is simple (as mine in these photos) the best way to complement it with accessories that stand out, in this case I used the gold necklace and bracelet maxi.

4. The makeup is key, for it, colors you choose can play for or against, so I recommend using colors in the range of your dress or suit that you are using or contrasts that allows highlight the color of your skin and hair, but if you're like me, the NUDES (skin colors, neutrals and gold) never fail me because it gives me a natural and fresh look.

5. The hairstyle : many like me, are afraid to innovate with our hair when an important event, so I always go for totally straight hair , loose waves or an elegant and simple ponytail , so I recommend you to leave your comfort zone and try new styles ( I know it is not easy and we all are not very skilled with braids ) but practice makes you master and with only some hair accessories you can highlight the outfit , this time I choose this crown of braids that is super easy to do ( soon I will make a post with simple hairstyles step by step) and made ​​the dress and the back were the protagonists.

6.Attitude: the special occasions are to celebrate and also the best excuse to put a spin on our everyday and feel unique, so it is important to dress up with the best attitude and enjoy them.

Orange Is The New Black / El Naranja Es El Nuevo Negro

Como dice la popular serie “Orange is the new black”, el naranja es el nuevo negro, como ya saben prefiero el negro en casi todas mis prendas básicas, pero en esta ocasión decidí arriesgarme un poco y comprar este enterizo en un color naranja vibrante, saliendo de mi zona de confort.

Es importante tener en cuenta que los colores hacen un poquito de magia en nosotros, y que aunque el negro estiliza la figura, otros acentúan nuestro color natural y nos da ese "Je ne sais quoi" (ese yo no se que) que nos hace ver diferentes.

Para estos días de intenso calor (por lo menos en mi ciudad) este conjunto va perfecto porque es cómodo y fresco; el detalle de los hombros descubiertos y el bolero en la parte de arriba para mí son la perfecta combinación.

As the popular serie says " Orange is the new black " ; as you know I prefer the black in almost All my basic items , but this time I decided to risk a little and buy this romper in a vibrant orange color, getting out of my comfort zone .

It is important to note that colors do a little magic in us; we all know that the black stylize the figure, but others emphasize our natural color and gives us that " Je ne sais quoi " ( that I do not know ) that makes us look different .

For these days of intense heat (at least in my city) this look is perfect because it's comfortable and fresh; the off the shoulders detail and the ruffle on top for me are the perfect combination.
