The most important tip to travel to the Tayrona park is to buy tickets and accommodation in advance on the page http://www.parquesnacionales.gov.co/portal/es/derechos-de-ingreso/
There you will find all the prices that will save you
a lot of time.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, in Mamatoco is where you can find transportation to the Tayrona park, the cost is $ 8,000 COP.

When you have passed the entrance you must take a microbus that costs $ 3,000 COP and take you to the stables where you can rent horses or start the walk; We decided to rent a horse to take our bags, since we had bought food to prepare and water, this has a value of $ 40.000 COP one way, which divided in 4 people is not expensive, it is the same value per person if you want Horseback ride to cape san Juan, the hike lasts approximately 2 hours to 2 hours and 30 minutes depending on you, we arrive in 2 hours or a little less, the trail is in very good condition and when you are going without luggage you can walk much faster.

During the walk, you go through the different beaches and if you want to, you can make stops, when arriving at the cape san Juan, we had to register with our IDs and pay the lodging, we were on a line for like 1 hour and a half, because the person who was doing the registration was very slow, so if you buy everything ahead of the page, that will save a lot of time.

There they have tents, rooms or hammocks, camping area and a restaurant, tents that they rent there bring inflatable mattress, which I find very convenient and more comfortable than bringing your own tent; The bathrooms and showers of this place for me pass the test, have the necessary and in cleaning an 8.

The plan in this place, once again, is to relax and enjoy the landscapes, although we could only stay one night, it was the place that I loved the most, there are many young people, but the atmosphere is not like partying or something like that.

The restaurant of the place offers very good dishes and prices seemed fair, please bring cash because they do not receive credit or debit cards, next to the restaurant there is like a mini shop where they sell a variety of things, in case you forgot something.

Although it was the first time we visited these places and with all the issues we had, it was one of the trips I have enjoyed the most.

I hope this information be helpful and if you have any tip or suggestion, please leave it on the comments.

As part of our trip, for not buying tickets to the tayrona park online and in advance, we had to change our itinerary for two days, one day we spent it in Buritaca and the other on a private beach called los angeles.

Buritaca is mostly a familiar place, the beach was quite crowded, but nevertheless there is also a river that meets with the sea, the plan here is just to spend the day; They offer kayak service and also a boat trip on the river.

Los Angeles is located about 20 minutes from the entrance of Tayrona, we went there for the recommendation of a friend, this place was definitely one of my favorites, it is super quiet and they have everything, camping area, hammocks and also rooms.

This beach has open sea so it is advisable not to bathe, although according to the people who work there, it is a very popular to surfers for the big waves of this beach.

The day we arrived we just wanted to rest, we met someone who told us that there were a river  that meets the sea, that we had to walk for like 8 minutes for a path and we will see it, so we went to find out, this beach is part of a hotel called "Barlovento", we were told that on that river there are alligators, but we did not see any, that day especially was very cloudy but if you have the chance to go I totally recommend you to visit this place on your way to palomino or to tayrona, is so nice.

Los angeles is for those who want to go to rest and relax, there they have a good meal service with affordable prices and the people that works there are very friendly.

Tell me if you have been to this place and if you liked it, I would like to know if you have recommendations of other beaches or places to visit.
