El tip más importante para viajar al parque Tayrona es comprar las entradas y el hospedaje con anticipación en la pagina http://www.parquesnacionales.gov.co/portal/es/derechos-de-ingreso/ ahí encontraran todos los precios y así van a ahorrar muchísimo tiempo.

Como les había comentado en un post anterior, en Mamatoco es donde pueden encontrar transporte que los lleve al parque tayrona, el valor es de $8.000 COP.

Cuando hayan pasado la entrada deben tomar un microbús que cuesta $3.000 COP y los llevara a los establos donde pueden alquilar caballos o empezar la caminata como tal; nosotras decidimos alquilar un caballo para que nos llevara las maletas, ya que habíamos comprado comida para preparar y agua, este tiene un valor de $40.000 COP solo ida, lo cual dividido en 4 personas no es caro, es el mismo valor por persona si quieren llegar a caballo hasta el cabo san juan, la caminata dura aprox 2 horas a 2 horas y 30 minutos dependiendo del paso que lleven, nosotras llegamos en 2 horas o un poco menos, el sendero está en muy buenas condiciones y al ir sin equipaje se camina mucho más rápido.

Durante la caminata uno va pasando por las diferentes playas y si quieren pueden hacer paradas, al llegar al cabo san juan, teníamos que registrarnos con nuestras cedulas y pagar el hospedaje, la verdad nos demoramos haciendo fila como 1 hora y media, porque la persona que estaba haciendo el registro era cero rápida, así que, si compran todo con anticipación por la página, se van a ahorrar un montón de tiempo.

En el lugar hay carpas, habitaciones o hamacas, zona de camping y un restaurante, las carpas que alquilan allá traen colchón inflable, lo cual me parece conveniente y más cómodo que traer carpa propia; Los baños y duchas de este lugar para mi pasan la prueba, tienen lo necesario y en limpieza un 8.

El plan en este lugar, una vez más, es para relajarse y disfrutar del paisaje, aunque solo pudimos quedarnos una noche, fue del lugar que más quede enamorada, eso sí, hay mucha gente joven, pero el ambiente es cero de rumba o algo así.

El restaurante del lugar ofrece platos muy buenos y los precios me parecieron justos, eso sí, lleven efectivo porque no reciben tarjeta de crédito ni débito, al lado del restaurante hay como una mini tiendita donde venden variedad de cosas, por si olvidaron algo.

Aunque era la primera vez que visitábamos estos lugares y con todos los contratiempos que pasamos, ha sido uno de los viajes que más he disfrutado.

Guia de Viaje: Playa Los Angeles / Travel Guide: Private beach Los Angeles

Como parte de nuestro paseo, por no comprar las entradas al parque tayrona por internet y con anticipación, debimos cambiar nuestro itinerario por dos días, uno lo pasamos en Buritaca y el otro en una playa privada que se llama los angeles.

Buritaca es un sitio más bien familiar, la playa estaba bastante llena, pero sin embargo hay también desembocadura del rio con el mar, el plan de este lugar es más bien como para pasar el día; ofrecen servicio de kayak y también un recorrido en lancha por el rio. 

As part of our trip, for not buying tickets to the tayrona park online and in advance, we had to change our itinerary for two days, one day we spent it in Buritaca and the other on a private beach called los angeles.

Buritaca is mostly a familiar place, the beach was quite crowded, but nevertheless there is also a river that meets with the sea, the plan here is just to spend the day; They offer kayak service and also a boat trip on the river.

Los angeles se encuentra como a 20 minutos de la entrada del tayrona, fuimos allí por la recomendación de una amiga, este lugar fue definitivamente uno de mis favoritos, es súper tranquilo y tienen de todo, zona de camping, hamacas y también habitaciones.

Esta playa tiene mar abierto así que lo recomendable es no bañarse, aunque según nos contaban las personas que trabajan ahí, es un lugar muy buscado por los surfers por las olas picadas de esta playa.

Los Angeles is located about 20 minutes from the entrance of Tayrona, we went there for the recommendation of a friend, this place was definitely one of my favorites, it is super quiet and they have everything, camping area, hammocks and also rooms.

This beach has open sea so it is advisable not to bathe, although according to the people who work there, it is a very popular to surfers for the big waves of this beach.

Nosotras ese día llegamos y aprovechamos para descansar, nos encontramos a alguien que nos comentó que había una desembocadura del rio ahí cerca, que debíamos caminar como 8 minutos por un sendero y la encontrábamos, y pues nosotras nos fuimos a ver que tal, pues resulta que esta playa hace parte de un hotel que se llama “Barlovento”, nos dijeron que en ese rio hay caimanes, pero no vimos ninguno, ese día en especial estaba muy nubado pero si tienen la oportunidad de ir les recomiendo totalmente que vayan a este lugar en su camino a palomino o al tayrona, es muy lindo.

Los angeles es para quienes quieran ir a descansar y a relajarse, tienen un servicio de comidas con buenos precios y todos los que trabajan ahí son muy amables.

Cuéntenme si han ido a este lugar y que tal les ha parecido, me gustaría saber si tienen recomendaciones de otras playas o sitios que visitar.

The day we arrived we just wanted to rest, we met someone who told us that there were a river  that meets the sea, that we had to walk for like 8 minutes for a path and we will see it, so we went to find out, this beach is part of a hotel called "Barlovento", we were told that on that river there are alligators, but we did not see any, that day especially was very cloudy but if you have the chance to go I totally recommend you to visit this place on your way to palomino or to tayrona, is so nice.

Los angeles is for those who want to go to rest and relax, there they have a good meal service with affordable prices and the people that works there are very friendly.

Guia de Viaje: P A L O M I N O / Travel guide: P A L O M I N O

Yo no era la persona más fan del viaje a “la costa”, porque siempre lo asociaba con muchísima gente, vendedores por todos lados y mucho ruido, pero este año, tuve la oportunidad de hacer un viaje diferente. Nos decidimos con 3 amigas a viajar “low cost” o bajo presupuesto, y sin mucho itinerario para dejarnos sorprender.

I did not use to be a big fan to travel to the coast, because I always associated it with lots of people, people selling stuff and a lot of noise, but this year I had the opportunity to make a different trip, me and 3 friends, decided to travel low cost and with not much planned, so we could surprised.

¿CÓMO LLEGAR?

SANTA MARTA

Esta sería mi recomendación de oro, compren los tiquetes de avión con anticipación y seguro encontraran buenas ofertas, es muchísimo mejor y cuesta igual que un tiquete de bus donde el viaje dura un aproximado de 14 a 16 horas y en avión desde Bogotá tan solo una hora y pedacito; yo sé que no es muy chévere que solo puedas llevar 6 kilos en la maleta de mano, pero créeme, aun cuando empaque lo esencial (mi maleta estaba llena de artículos electrónicos que pesaban mil kilos) no utilice como el 30% de las prendas que lleve, así que no te preocupes, solo necesitaras de ropa muy cómoda y tu vestido de baño, te lo aseguro.

HOW TO GET THERE

SANTA MARTA

This would be my golden recommendation, buy the plane tiquets with advance, so you can find good deals, is way much better and cost the same than the bus tiquet where the trip takes about 14 to 16 hours, while by plane about an hour or so, I know that is not cool that you can only have 6 kilos in your carrying bag, but trust me, even when I packed the essential (my backpack was full of electronics) I did not use about 30% of what I took there so my advice is to just pack comfy clothes and bathing suits, no more.

PALOMINO

Nosotras al llegar al aeropuerto cogimos un taxi que nos llevara a Mamatoco que es el lugar de donde salen los buses para Palomino, el valor de la carrera es de unos jugosos $28.000 COP, lo cual dividido en 4 es cero grave, pero si van en poca compañía, consideren coger el bus que entra hasta el aeropuerto y tal vez trasbordar para Mamatoco *Ante todo la economia*.

En Mamatoco a penas te bajes, te van a empezar a meter las maletas al bus, pero no te preocupes, diles que no hay afán, y negocien el precio, ellos piden $15.000 COP pero disimulando el acento del interior y con bastante convicción pidan rebaja para que los lleven en $10.000 COP, el trayecto hasta Palomino es de aprox. 1 hora y 45 minutos, nosotras contratamos un carro que nos cobró $10.000 COP a cada una, eso sí con desparasitada incluida y a 200 Km por hora,  *sobrevivimos y llegamos en 1 hora 10 minutos*.

PALOMINO

When we arrived to the airport we took a taxi that took us to Mamatoco, where the buses departure to Palomino, we paid $28.000 COP, a little expensive, but since we split it it wasn’t that bad, but if you are traveling alone or with a partner, you better take the bus that goes through the airport and then take another one when you are in the city.

In Mamatoco, as soon as you get down, people is putting your bag on their buses, don’t worry, just tell them to calm down and negotiate, they will ask you for $15.000 COP but they will get down until $10.000 COP, so be smart and negotiate, the trip from there to Palomino is about 1 hour and 45 minutes, we took a car that charged us the same $10.000, fun story,  the guy was driving about 200 km per hour, we arrive there like in an hour and 10  minutes, yes, we survived.

HOSPEDAJE

Desde la avenida principal hasta la playa hay que caminar aprox. Unos 10 a 15 minutos, dependiendo del paso, o un moto taxi te lleva por la módica suma de $3.000 COP, como nosotras queríamos averiguar hospedaje nos bajamos a pie, preguntando en todos los lugares, les ahorro la caminada, el lugar que nos pareció más cómodo es FINCA ESCONDIDA, es frente a la playa, tiene restaurante, duchas, un bar en la parte de afuera y por increíble que parezca hasta WIFI, tiene zona de camping por $20.000 COP por persona, llevando su carpa, $25.000 COP en hamaca con locker (eso si lleven su candadito), toma corrientes y toldillo individual. Habitaciones desde $35.000 COP.

Aunque hay otras opciones, (una que nos gustó porque tenía piscina), nos quedamos con este por su cercanía a la playa. Vale recalcar que fuimos en temporada alta, así que tal vez en temporada baja consigan menores precios, pero para la comodidad que tenía el lugar, el precio nos pareció lo justo.

HOTEL

From the main avenue to the beach, is a 10 to 15 minute walk, or also a local motorcycle  will give you a ride for $3.000 COP, but we wanted to ask for places to stay in our way down so we walked, I will save you the walk and tell you the place we liked the most, is called FINCA ESCONDIDA, is right on the beach, it has a restaurant, showers, a bar outside and as crazy as it sounds, WIFI, it has a camping zone for $20.000 COP per person and you have to bring your own tend, Hammock $25.000 COP per person, with its own locker (please bring your own lock), power outlets and individual mosquito net cover; rooms from $35.000 COP per person.

We went on season so if you go on lower season, you may get a better deal.

COMIDA

Los precios de la comida no son exagerados, sobre la avenida principal hay muchísimas opciones, desde salchipapa con lechuga y queso rallado *nunca antes visto por mis ojos*, hasta pizza y carnes al gusto, en el camino hacia la playa hay tiendas con precios de tienda de verdad verdad, así que si van bajo costo, la tienda es el lugar ideal para comprar sus alimentos.

Al lado izquierdo de la playa al terminar la calle, hay como un bar/café, ahi venden pizza en varios sabores y en verdad no es cara, también jugos, perros y más.

FOOD

Food prices are not crazy, are actually very good, on the main avenue there are plenty of places to eat from salchipapa with lettuce and cheese *something I haven’t seen before*to pizza and meet of your choice, on the way to the beach there are little stores with really good prices so if you are going low cost, that’s the place.

At the end of the road to the left side on the beach there is a Café/bar, they sell pizza in different flavors and is not crazy expensive, also juices, hotdogs and more.

ACTIVIDADES

Nosotras como íbamos a donde el viento nos llevara, el primer día disfrutamos de la playa y del sol, y en la noche jugamos UNO, un plan muy zanahoria.

El segundo día fuimos donde queda la desembocadura del río con el mar, sin duda el atractivo turístico de este lugar, mis ojos no podían creer lo que veían, hermosa naturaleza, el plan en este lugar es subir en moto hasta un lugar del río donde te dan un flotador o neumático gigante e ir río abajo lo más relajado posible hasta llegar a la desembocadura, el trayecto en el río es de aprox. 2 horas, nosotras nos quedamos sin hacer este plan porque nos enteramos muy tarde, no recuerdo su precio pero si tienen tiempo, háganlo, se veía divertido.

En la noche afuera de FINCA ESCONDIDA hay mesas y sillas y ponen música como hasta las 12, ahi llega la gente a tomarse algo, a bailar o ha estar simplemente en la playa.

Esta playa es de mar abierto con olas bastante fuertecitas, yo fui muy feliz nadando, pero si usted no es un experto le aconsejo no acercase mucho al fondo *ANÉCDOTA: me tome una foto con estas gafas que amaba, y el mar de envidioso se me las llevo, las estaba estrenando, pero bueno, consejo, no se metan a saltar olas con gafas o nada que les cuelgue, solo bloqueador*

Me enamore de este lugar por su sencillez, su cultura viajera, por lo limpio de sus playas y por la fuerza de sus olas, y ni se diga del caldo de ojo, en definitiva una joya colombiana, volvería sin pensarlo dos veces, espero que les sirva de algo esta información y me compartan sitios en palomino para visitar cuando vuelva, la otra semana subo la siguiente parte del viaje, así que estén atentos. ACTIVITIES

We had no plans, so the first day we went to the beach and enjoyed the sun, at night we played UNO.

On our second day we went to the place where the river reaches the sea, definitely THE PLACE to visit there, OMG nature is just wonderful, the plan there is to go on a bike that takes you to the highest part of the river so you can go down the river on a pneumatic, the ride on the river takes about 2 hours, it was too late for us when we arrive so if you go, definitely do it, it looked like so much fun!

At night outside FINCA ESCONDIDA they play music until 12 pm, people come to stay on the beach or dance and talk.

This beach is open sea, so the waves are a little strong, I was happy jumping waves, but if you are not an expert please don’t go too far, *FUN FACT: I took a picture with this sunglasses and the sea was so jealous that he took it away from me, them were brand new, advice, just wear sunscreen*

I felt in love with the simplicity of this place, its travel culture, it’s beautiful and clean beaches and the strength of its waves, and don't even talk about the beautiful people you will see there, definitely a Colombian jewel, I would come back with not doubt, I hope his info be useful and also share with me places I should visit when I come back, next week I will share more of this trip and other places from the coast, so STAY TUNED!
